Revenue by month
An SQL exercise from Querydrill. Solve it with a SQL editor in your browser, checked on the rows it returns and again on changed data, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
From Priya again: "Same paid revenue, but by month please, oldest month first. Careful: paid_at comes in three formats." Return month as YYYY-MM and revenue rounded to 2 decimals.
What this exercise teaches
Before you use a date function, look at the formats you actually have. Here the shared prefix makes a simple substr enough.
A hint if you get stuck
All three date formats start with YYYY-MM-DD, so substr(paid_at, 1, 7) gives the month whatever comes after it.
