Querydrill

Level 4: Advanced Exercise 46 of 60 Pro

Share of revenue

An SQL exercise from Querydrill. Solve it with a SQL editor in your browser, checked on the rows it returns and again on changed data, and it is checked the moment you submit.

The task

For each country, return the country and its share of total paid revenue in percent, rounded to 1 decimal.

What this exercise teaches

SUM(x) / SUM(SUM(x)) OVER () is another way to compute shares.

A hint if you get stuck

Divide each country's sum by the overall sum from a subquery. Multiply by 100.0 to avoid integer division.
